Authorities search for suspect accused of fleeing police, crashing into house in Belle Vernon
Police in Belle Vernon are looking for a man accused of fleeing the scene of a traffic stop and then crashing into a home.
The crash happened on Green Street in North Belle Vernon Sunday around 6:30 p.m.
According to police, the suspect fled when police officers tried to pull him over. After a brief chase, the car crashed into a house and the driver then fled on foot.
Investigators said the suspect ran into a nearby toolshed and then took off again. His current whereabouts are unknown.
Police said officers found 40 bags of heroin and a fully loaded pistol in the tool shed the suspect ran into.
Authorities said they are looking for Isaiah Jones, 20, of Jeannette, as a person of interest.
